Systems
Golden State Power's solar power systems consist of an array
of solar electric panels, and an inverter -- a computerized
solid-state controller. The solar electric panels generate
DC electricity directly from sunlight. The inverter converts
the DC electricity produced by the panels to AC electricity,
regulates the system and directs any unused power back into
the utility grid. In applications where you are not connected
to the grid or you want backup power, batteries are required.
An average 1200 sf single-family home uses about 5,000 kW
hours of electricity per year. Golden State Power solar systems
can generate nearly all of the electricity required for such
a home on an annual basis. The solar panels used in our power
systems have an 80-year design life and up to a 25-year warranty.
Solar electric power systems are clean, silent, and have
no moving parts. In utility interconnected applications, they
reduce the need to move power over transmission lines. Producing
solar electric power at, or near, where it is used and sending
the excess power into the grid from thousands of decentralized
points, is helping us to change the way power is produced
and distributed -- lessening the demands of fossil fuel.

- Benefits Instead of "renting" your utilities
from your utility company, if you INVEST in a solar system
(partnering with the utility company through their rebate
program), you will own your system over an 8-12 year period.
After your system is paid, the electricity that your system
captures is essentially free to you -- no charge from the
utility company. This program has exponential benefits including:
a financial investment that increases your property value;
a positive impact on the local/regional and national environment;
a positive step toward reducing the ozone depletion and
global warming trend.
